Internet Discussion

E-mail/Communication

I think that e-communication today is vitally important to every day life, from twitter to e-mail, we all use it! Most people wouldn't go a day without accessing their twitter, or checking their Facebook, it is now a fact of life, the internet is something we all cannot live without. Compared to pre-internet when the only was to find out what is going on around you was the local newspaper. The reason why we all use it is because its much quicker than postal services. We also now view many videos virally and is much easier to access rather than getting your typical DVD or music disc. Businesses also use the internet to sell products and promote things on websites, this is critically to most businesses success as most people will see the advert. Everything about todays internet is a leap above what we use to have, it can only get better.

  1. Adding on to your statement about businesses e-mails are also a vital part as they are able to share work with each other via e-mail or a blog rather than having to use a memory stick so you do not have to be with each other to share work from different devices.

  2. I agree with what you said but I think iTunes should get mentioned. As it is one of the main ways to get music and share music, and it is much easier than going to a shop to buy a Cd, which is why it is a very popular way of getting music. :)

  3. I also think that movies should get a mention, things such as netflix and lovefilm, we all use these to catch up on things that we have missed, usually people will watch series of programs one after the other just or fun. This is becoming a huge part of today's society.

  4. From all of the comments above, they have improved this blog greatly, i have now gained more knowledge about the internet and what it could and is used for, for example businesses benefit majorly from the internet, how things are becoming much more accessible like movies, they can now be accessed via online media, and how twitter and facebook can be used for people to connect. And how we can all share what we want to when we want to.
